Depending on entry numbers there will be three judges and two associate judges.

The wine judging is a busy and exciting day for the Daylesford Wine Show. Local sommeliers and wine makers are welcome to express interest in participating as associate judges.

Can the public get involved?

If you are keen to check out how it wine judging happens you can volunteer as a Steward or for other support roles. Our volunteers learn much about our regions’ wine industry and our local varietals.

What do stewards do?

Setting up, prepping classes for judging and packing up.
Setting up is from 8am and judging begins at 9am. In between pouring wines, clearing away used glasses, loading the glasswasher, etc, stewards can taste wines and eavesdrop on the judges' deliberations.

You need not stay all day - either morning or afternoon would be very helpful.
